TNC Bio is a new company producing XerumFree™, a product range of replacements for fetal bovine serum and other serum- or animal free, undefined supplements. 

It was founded in june 2011 after a period of two years of preparation with development of the products starting over 5 years ago. The managing partners are all experienced seniors in their respective fields. Being  privately funded with a very solid investor/share holder base TNC Bio has more then enough leverage for successful growth.

Samples have been produced using facilities of HSZuyd in Heerlen, production is performed in GMP facilities in The Netherlands. HSZuyd will continue to perform quality control.

About the product
XerumFree™ is a unique platform as it has some features not found in FBS replacements today:

1) It is fully defined
This means that any experiment or process using XerumFree™ instead of FBS can be repeated with the same outcome, wether it is 5 years later or in a different lab. A very important advantage for science, besides eliminating costly batch testing and storing.

2) It is animal-component free
More and more research, development and production seeks animal-free products. Motivated by scientific reasons, for easy production or for ethical reasons, to name a few. Supported by governments and consumers demanding a sustainable and ethical product.

3) It is risk free
There are no components in XerumFree™ that hold the risk of potential diseases like e.g. prions that can turn into BSE. Making it reliable and safe.
